About percent. The full circle is 100%, which means that 100% of the circle is 360°. Do not confuse this percent measure with the percent we use to measure slopes.
About degrees. The most common way to measure angles is to use degrees (°) as a unit of measurement. The degrees can be expressed in decimal or DMS (degrees, minutes, seconds) format. The full degrees are measured exactly the same way in both formats, but partial degrees are measured in different way. Conversion. Understanding the conversion between degrees and percent. As the full circle is 100% you need to find a percent of 360°. You need to convert percent into a decimal first and multiply with 360. Regardless of a percentage value, it is always out of 100. So this is the equitation for angle 45%: 100 * X = 360 * 45.
Examples:
30% = 360 * 30 / 100 = 108°
60% = 360 * 60 / 100 = 216°
90% = 360 * 90 / 100 = 324°
